August 17th - Run for the Seals

Get in shape and get outdoors for a good cause –

all with your dog!

Join TEAM BERNER on Saturday, August 17, 2013 in the beautiful Marin Headlands

for The Marine Mammal Center’s 29th annual Run for the Seals.

Join us for a fun morning on your choice of a 2-mile or 4-mile hike along a beautiful coastal trail with your dog!  In the past, we have helped raise funds for Berners and sea mammals together through this event, but this year we do it for our flippered friends alone as we will also be participating in the K9 Cancer Walk in April.  Your entry fee will help feed orphaned and sick seals and sea lions during the year while you get a great T-shirt and a fabulous walk with your dog!

TEAM BERNER is walking to improve the future for not only Bernese Mountain Dogs, but dogs of all breeds. We will walk to honor our dogs who are cancer survivors, in memory of the dogs we have lost to cancer, and in support of a cure so that our dogs may be spared from cancer in the future.

Let’s walk together to find a cure!

We have a lofty goal of raising $2,500 for cancer research.

Even if you can’t physically walk with us, you can be a part of our team as a “virtual walker” or support us as a donor.  Whether in person or in spirit, please join us!

Team members can create their own web pages to help raise additional donations from family, friends and associates. Questions?  Contact Cindy Beckman.
